Tasman’s horse lease programme is designed for adult riders and those returning to riding who want regular time in the saddle, without the full commitment of owning a horse. To join, you’ll need a basic working knowledge of horse care, including grooming, tacking up,

and post-ride care. 

After a four-week orientation, you’ll have the freedom to ride independently. We support each rider in building a relationship with their lease horse, and if it’s not the right match, we’ll work with you to find one that is.
